Privacy Policy for Swift WOD

Effective Date: May 22, 2025

Introduction

Swift WOD is a fitness app developed by Based Solutions LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use Swift WOD, including our use of third-party advertising services and tracking permissions.

Data Collection

Swift WOD itself does not collect, store, or process any personal data from users. Personal data includes, but is not limited to, your name, email address, or location. We do not require sign-in, and we do not track your activity outside of what is necessary for advertising purposes, as described below.

Third-Party Services: Google AdMob and App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

Swift WOD uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect the following types of data:

  • Device Identifiers: AdMob may collect device identifiers, such as the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), to serve personalized ads. This only occurs if you grant tracking permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
  • Usage Data: AdMob collects data about ad interactions (e.g., impressions, clicks) to optimize ad delivery and measure performance.
  • Diagnostics: AdMob may collect crash data and performance metrics to improve its services. This data is anonymized and not linked to your identity.
  • Other Data: AdMob collects device information (e.g., IP address, device type, OS version) for ad targeting and analytics, even for non-personalized ads.

We use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request your permission before allowing AdMob to use the IDFA for personalized ads. If you grant permission, AdMob may use your data for tracking (e.g., cross-app or cross-website ad targeting). If you deny permission, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads, and tracking will not occur. For more details on AdMob’s data practices, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Permissions and Features

Swift WOD requests permission to send notifications to alert you about workout phase changes (e.g., starting, work, rest, or completion). These notifications are used solely for app functionality, and we do not collect or store any data related to your notification preferences or interactions.

As mentioned, we also request tracking permission via ATT to enable personalized ads through AdMob. You can manage your tracking preferences at any time through your device’s settings.

Local Storage

Swift WOD uses local storage on your device to save your settings, such as workout durations, round counts, and sound preferences. This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. The app also stores a flag to track whether you’ve seen the onboarding screen, which is similarly stored locally and not shared.

Children’s Privacy

Swift WOD is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children, and our app complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly. You will also be notified of changes via the App Store.
